In 2419, the World is a very different place. The Mongols are technologically superior and rules the World, after a vast destructive war, and they rule with a merciless iron fist. The Americans are reduced to more or less primitive tribes, living in the big forests with a bit of primitive technology, dreaming of the day when they can defeat the Mongols and throw them out of their country.

In this war-torn world, Rogers now needs to survive and find his place. And maybe some of the knowledge anbout the First Worldwar, that he brought with him from 1927, can be used to defeat the Mongols.

The novel is the first of the two novels behind Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.
