Welcome to Pilgaard Publishing's English website. We are a small, Danish publishing house, with activities in these three categories:

1. Literary archaeology and retro-digitization of old, (mostly) Danish literature, which is public domain, so it can have a new life in a digital age.
2. Translation og publication of foreign literature, that we would like to see in Danish.
3. Publication of the publisher's own books.

In terms of genres, the motto goes A bit of everything - and some of the rest!. This is both a matter of the publisher's inability to limit himself, and a matter of all genres having something good to offer, so why have a limit? The retro-digitized text are minimally edited, meaning that typographic errors in the originals are corrected, and the spelling of a few words are modernized. Content and wording is not edited, so you can easily encounter words and expressions not being used today, and you can encounter mindsets, words and worldviews that is offensive to some readers today.

The majority of the eBooks are free and can be downloaded directly from the website, so if you are into the authentic and unfiltered literature, for better or worse, there is a lot of outstanding literature to dig into!
